Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/div) in Experimental Physics


  • Operation of the thermal helium beam diagnostics at AUG and W7-X for fast measure­ments of temperature and density at the plasma edge
  • Analysis of the acquired data and comparison with state-of-the-art plasma turbulence codes
  • Supervising Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD students

  • PhD in experimental physics
  • Good command of the English language, written and spoken

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of high temperature plasma physics with a focus on fusion plasma diagnostics
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of turbulence investigations or plasma edge physics
  • Scientific interpretation and analysis of measured data

The position is limited to a duration of two years. The salary is based on the assign­ment of tasks and quali­fica­tions and goes up to pay group 13 according to the Collec­tive Agree­ment for the Public Service (TVöD Bund).
