The Mock Lab is based at the Institute of Pathology, LMU, in the vibrant heart of Munich (Thalkirchner Str. 36, 80337 Munich). We are a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of cancer researchers driven by a passion for clinical translation. Aufgaben
- Perform single-nucleus RNA-sequencing from FFPE tissues (snRNA-seq, Chromium, 10xGenomics) of metastastic head and neck cancers including Illumina-based next-generation sequencing (with Novaseq XP).
- Play the leading role in processing the single cell sequencing data according to current data analysis gold standards, followed by modern network biology approaches to understand oncogenic pathway dependencies in the context of the immune and stromal cell compartment.
- Validate new insights into the biology of metastastic head and neck cancer utilizing spatial biology methods including sequential immunofluorescence (COMET, Lunaphore) and spatial transcriptomics (Xenium, 10x Genomics).
Profil
- A PhD (or equivalent) in immunology, molecular biology, biomedicine, or related natural science fields.
- Extensive experience in molecular biology and immunohistochemistry and with a strong preference for expertise in next-generation and ideally also single cell sequencing.
- Proficiency in quantitative data analysis, bioinformatics and programming skills in relevant languages (e.g. R or Python).
- Strong command of English.
- An open and outgoing personality with exceptional teamwork skills.
- Ability to think critically and work independently.
