The U.S. Mission in Germany is one of the largest U.S. Diplomatic Missions in the world, mainly due to its vital geographical situation, its political, and commercial importance in Europe. The U.S. Mission comprises the Embassy in Berlin and five consulates in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Leipzig and provides a wide array of services and support as well as playing a vital role in German American relations. The U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Plumber (m/f/d).
You will be employed as a journeyman level Maintenance Mechanic - Plumber to carry out skilled maintenance and repair work on the critical and noncritical mechanical and plumbing systems throughout the Consulate Compound functional/office buildings, on compound ancillary support and residential buildings, above and below ground infrastructures, recreational facilities, and other owned/leased properties.
You have completed a secondary school. Completion of vocational training program from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level plumbers and mechanical system specialist trained in the maintenance of commercial or industrial buildings/facilities is required. Training through a recognized apprenticeship program provided by a trade union is considered acceptable.
